Classic Legends has officially revealed the fuel economy of Jawa and Jawa Forty Two, certified by ARAI. The claimed mileage stands at 37.5 kmpl.
Well, we do not known a lot of details about the Jawa Motorcycles like its fuel economy, booking numbers and total sales till now. But, now, Classic Legends has finally revealed its ARAI tested mileage.
Jawa and Jawa Forty Two claim to deliver 37.5 KMPL. That means, in real-world conditions, the figures can drop up to 30 kmpl on an average. In the city riding, it could be somewhere between 26-28 kmpl and nearly 32-35 kmpl on the highway.
ARAI mileage testing is usually done in a controlled environment. It fails to consider the city’s stop and go traffic. However, the claimed figures are near to what you achieve on the highways.
Jawa and Jawa Forty Two use the same 293cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, that produces 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Between these two bikes, there are only some visual differences. Jawa is a reincarnation of the original model, while the Forty-Two is a modern version of the new Jawa.
The colour options are different and certain styling bits like the mirror position and speedometer design are different. Jawa Forty-Two is available with bar-end mirrors and an off-set single-pod speedometer.
In other news related to Jawa, the first set of bikes have been delivered to the customers. The second batch is scheduled to reach the buyers by end of this month.
Buyers who have booked their bikes on 15th November, will get it delivered in April-end. Buyers who have done their booking on 16th November, will get their bikes in two slots, scheduled for first half and second half of May.
