Kia Seltos is the first in its segment to offer three different automatic transmissions which include a CVT gearbox for 1.5L petrol, a 6-speed AT for 1.5L turbocharged diesel and a 7-speed DCT for the 1.4L T-GDI engine.
Kia Seltos is the much-awaited car in the Indian market right now and it will launch on Aug 22, 2019. The mid-size SUV has received over 23,000 bookings till now and our sources say that deliveries will commence from the first week of September only. That said, with the hype of Kia Seltos so much, Quikr shows us various accessories offered with the car.
Starting off, the Kia Seltos receives chrome packages as accessories. Indians love chrome on their car as it gives an upmarket feel and so the chrome can be used at the window lines, doors, headlights, taillights, ORVMs and more.
Other bits include alloy wheels protection, bumper protection which comes with Kia branding and side steps. The cabin inside receives neck pillows, back support pillow for the driver, dashboard idol and Kia also offers rear-seat entertainment screens. As of now, these are what we got but we hope Kia Motors might also bring more accessories once the car is launched.
Kia Seltos is the only mid-size SUV which comes in three different automatics that is the CVT, 6-speed AT and 7-speed DCT gearbox. A 6-speed manual transmission is a standard across all variants.
The SUV is available with three engine options, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which churns out 115 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque. It comes with CVT. The 1.5L oil burner makes 115 bhp with a torque of 250 Nm and gets mated to 6-speed AT gearbox.
The powerful turbo petrol engine comes with a 1.4-litre capacity which generates 142 bhp and a healthy torque of 242 Nm. Transmission here includes a 7-speed DCT. This T-GDI engine does 0-100 km/h in just 9.7 seconds.
Talking about the features the SUV then gets LED Headlamps and Taillights, a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It comes with UVO connect, similar to the BlueLink offered in the Hyundai Venue.
It also gets ambient lighting, leatherette seats, 2-step reclining rear seats, 60:40 split with adjustable rear centre headrest, ventilated front seats, a driver powered seat, sunshade curtains, high-line tyre pressure and a 400-watt 8 speaker Bose sound system. It also gets a 360-degree camera and Blind-spot monitoring system. The latter is the first in its segment.
That said, Kia Seltos is feature-loaded SUV and the pricing for the same will be kept competitive. We expect it to start from Rs 9.99 lakh for the base trim to Rs 16.99 lakh for the top-end trim (ex-showroom, Delhi).
