The Evo Spyder is 120 kg heavier than the regular coupe model because of the soft-top roof mechanism.
Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini has just launched the Huracan Evo Spyder at Rs 4.1 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian markets. With its launch, Lamborghini also inaugurated their new showroom in Worli, Mumbai.
Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder gets a soft top which can be retractable in 17 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. This version is 120 kg heavier than the coupe model. Another highlight of the model is the LDVI(Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) chassis control system,
Other highlights on the Evo spyder includes a rear wheel steering and torque vectoring system. It is equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment unit located at the centre console.
Sharad Agarwal, head of Lamborghini India said, “The Huracan Evo has received a positive response from the Indian market since we announced the launch of the car earlier this year. We have seen an increase in the number of supercar aficionados in India which reflects in the demand of our Lamborghini range, including the limited-edition super sports cars. The Huracan Evo Spyder joins its coupe counterpart as the second model in the V10 Huracan EVO line-up.”
Under the hood, the Evo Huracan Spyder gets the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine which churns out 631 bhp along with a peak torque of 600 Nm. It is the same as the coupe. Transmission here includes seven speed automatic transmission.
The Evo Spyder can do 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.1 seconds and 0-200km/h in 9.3 seconds. Mind you, it is just 0.2 seconds and 0.3 seconds slower than the Evo coupe respectively. It can attain a top speed of 323 km/h.
The Evo Spyder looks similar to the Coupe version in all measures except for some. Like the convertible gets body coloured bumpers instead of an all-black one and blacked out A-pillars. The car sits on 20-inch alloy wheels and the rear profile sees a new ducktail spoiler balanced downforce.
The upholstery of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder is available in three options – Leather, Alcantara and Carbon Skin. The latter is a carbon fibre material which is exclusive for Lamborghini.
Safety features on this supercar include Antilock braking system with Electronic brake force distribution, Electronic stability control, Traction control and other driver oriented aids which when selected with different driver’s modes.
