Maruti Suzuki will soon launch a more premium version of the Ertiga which will be a 6 seater. The car will be priced above Rs 10 lakh mark (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Maruti Suzuki will introduce a premium 6 seater Ertiga next month and the car will be sold via Nexa dealerships. It is said to be the top of the line trim and will sport quite some changes on the exteriors as well as interiors.
The sporty looking Ertiga concept was unveiled at the Indonesian Motor Show. The design changes include at the front and rear profile which gives the car a more sophisticated look on the outside.
Maruti Ertiga 6 seater will continue to use the Hearttec platform which is a safe, more efficient and a technologically advance in its profile. The MPV will get new bumpers, large fog lamps housing, new projector DRLs and an agile looking grille up front. The roof gets a contrasting black colour and also gets side skirts which make the car sit lower.
The interiors are finished in beige colour and the concept car here gets a 40:20:40 split folding second row which means that 6-seater MPV can also be used as a 7-seater. However, in India a 6-seater premium Ertiga with an all-black interior is expected to launch.
The upcoming MPV will get a 1.5-litre four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor which will churn out 105 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a four-speed torque converter gearbox. A BS-VI compliance engine will be offered.
Since it will be a premium Ertiga and be sold via Nexa Dealerships only. It is expected to go above the price point of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Probably, it might be able to take on the likes Mahindra Marazzo and Renault Lodgy, being priced in a similar range.
