2018 Maruti Ertiga Price in India, Engine Specifications, Features, Images And Other Details

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga has finally made its official debut in India today!

The second generation iteration of this MPV is now available at a starting price of INR 7.44 lakh. While the top-of-the-line variant costs INR 10.90 lakh.

With this upgrade, in addition to a new platform, new exterior and interiors added features and safety, the Ertiga also offers an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with Suzuki’s new mild-hybrid SHV technology.

The new chassis along with the more fuel efficient engine has led to an increase in the mileage figures of this MPV by up to 3 km/l.

Maruti Ertiga 2018- Price In India

With this generation update, the prices of the Ertiga has also gone up slightly. The base variant now costs INR 7.44 lakhs. While the top-of-the-line trim goes up to a price of INR 10.50 lakh.

Maruti Ertiga 2018- Engine Specifications

As far as the engine specifications are concerned, the 2018 Ertiga will retain the current model’s power units. The petrol derivative will get the K-Series 1.4-litre engine.

This engine produces 91 BHP along with 130 Nm of peak torque. The diesel derivative is going to come with the Fiat sourced 1.3-litre DDiS oil-burner.

This engine’s power output stands at 88 BHP while it produces a torque of 200 Nm. Along with the 5-speed manual gearbox, Maruti will also introduce an AMT gearbox in this vehicle.

Maruti Ertiga 2018- Mileage

Since the 2018 Ertiga is going to get a lighter platform, we are expecting the fuel-efficiency figures to improve as well.

The petrol derivative is likely to give a mileage of around 21km/l. While the mileage for the diesel derivative could be around the mark of 27 km/l.

Dimensionally, the new Ertiga is going to measure 4,395 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,690 mm in height. The wheelbase of the MPV is said to remain unchanged at 2,740 mm.

The next-generation Ertiga comes with an all-new exterior design. With this update, Suzuki has made sure that this MPV does not look like a mere extension of the Swift.

As a result of this, its exterior aesthetics come with their own unique identity. The new Ertiga comes with elongated headlamps which wrap around the front fenders.

It gets a large chrome grille. In addition to this, the bumpers are nicely augmented. All of this combined gives the MPV a premium appeal.

The side profile comes with a bold shoulder crease which runs all the way to the back. At the rear, the latest iteration of this MPV gets a mature fascia.

Maruti Ertiga 2018- Interiors Review

According to recent media reports, the cabin layout of the 2018 Ertiga is going to take its inspiration from the new Dzire.

This means that it will get a very modern and sleek dashboard design. In addition to this, it will get a dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige.

Also, the interiors are going to get faux wood inserts to increase its overall appeal. The Ertiga, being an MPV will come in a 7-seater configuration.

Going by the spy images circulating on the internet, next-generation Etiga appears to be slightly longer than the current spec version.

If this turns out to be true, it will result in more space inside the vehicle. The quality levels of the materials used are expected to improve with this update.
