New uncamouflaged spy shots reveal the styling of the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift, that will be launched early next year.
Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the new Brezza facelift in 2020, which will get BS-6 engine as a major update. Ahead of the launch, its spy shots have been leaked which show the compact SUV without any camouflage.
On the front, it gets a brushed silver chin insert with new headlamp styling. They seem to be new LED headlamps and LED DRLs. The front bumper has been slightly revised to fit in the bigger fog lamp housing. The alloy wheels also look refreshed.
Inside the cabin, we can expect new upholstery material and minor revisions to the dashboard. The touchscreen infotainment can also be upgraded to offer more features, similar to what comes on its competitors.
Under the hood, will be the 1.5 Litre K15B petrol engine from Ciaz and new Ertiga. As said earlier, the new 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza will be available with a petrol unit only, from next year. Right now, its a diesel-only model.
The 1.5 Litre engine is capable of producing 105 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT. The engine is already BS-6 compliant and would also make its way on the S-Cross.
Recently, Maruti hinted that they are contemplating to bring back the diesel engines. The current 1.3 Litre DDiS engine would be discontinued permanently. The new 1.5 Litre DDiS 225 engine that debuted on the Ciaz, will be made BS-6 compliant.
Maruti would still not provide diesel engines on all models, but on some including Ciaz, Ertiga, XL6, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and the upcoming Vitara mid-size SUV. The prices of Brezza will nearly be the same or might decrease a bit, as the shift is from diesel to petrol.
