BMW X7 is the latest ride from the German manufacturer which is expected to launch later this year.
Several spy shots have been spied for the new BMW X7 before but mostly it was all camouflaged until it was fully revealed at the India Art Fair in late January. This time a flesh source of the image is surfacing the internet of the X7. This means we can expect an early launch for the SUV.
The new BMW X7 looks humongous and imposing to its rivals. It gets signature shaped grille which is now larger than before and the new LED Headlamps. Both the newly launched X5 and upcoming X7 shares the same platform but X7 receives a stretched one. The SUV will be laid out in seven-seat configuration.
On the inside, the car gets leather upholstery on the seats. The car also features new dashboard design which is seen on the latest BMW’s. It gets twin 12.3-inch screens, which caters the need of instrument cluster and infotainment system. The latter can be operated via gesture controls too. The SUV also gets a panoramic sunroof.
Other features like four-zone climate control, six-colour ambient lighting, auto-parking, active cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, lane assist, wireless charging, remote assist, remote park can be expected from the upcoming SUV.
Talking about the engine specifications, a 3.0-litre, in-line six cylinders, turbocharged diesel engine churning out 266 bhp with 620 Nm of peak torque can be expected. A 3.0-litre, in-line six-cylinder petrol motor churning out 340 bhp with 450 Nm of torque can be expected as well. Both the engines are likely to be compliance with BS-VI emission norms.
BMW X7 will rival directly to the Mercedes Benz GLS 350 along with Range Rover Discovery when launched in India. The prices for this expensive ride is expected to start from Rs 1.2 crore for the base variant and the top-end variant will feature all the exclusivity the SUV has to offer.
