Maruti Suzuki Ertiga or ‘LUV’ is expected to get a facelift this year. Ahead of its expected launch, it was spotted again while testing. The MPV was fully camouflaged, however, Autocar has given some pictures of its interiors. The cabin layout of the 2018 Ertiga seems to take its inspiration from the new Dzire. In addition to this, it will get a dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige. Also, the interiors are going to get faux wood inserts to increase its overall appeal. Also, seen in the centre unit is the automatic climate control option. When compared to its competitors, Ertiga still lacked a lot of features, which it has put in the facelift now. Read on for more details of the spied interiors.
The 2018 Maruti Ertiga has already broken cover internationally and we are expecting it to come to India by the month of July/August this year. Visually, the new iteration of the Ertiga is completely different from the current spec model. Similarly is the case with the interior cabin layout of the vehicle as well. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga spied images suggest that it will come with Maruti’s new Smartplay Infotainment System, automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button start-stop and other such features. Furthermore, on the exteriors, the top-end variant will get projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and LEd tail-lamps. In terms of safety, it will get Dual airbags as standard, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX.
Currently, there are certain speculations going around that the Ertiga might get a new 1.5 Litre Petrol engine that produces 102 BHP. This might replace the existing 1.4 L Petrol engine. For diesel, it is most likely to continue with the 1.3 Litre Multijet engine. The current Ertiga uses a four-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, which might be carried forward.
Currently, the base petrol variant of this MPV retails at INR 6.16 Lakh. While the top of the line diesel version costs INR 10.45 Lakh. After the launch of the facelift, it is expected to cost Rs 6.5 Lakhs to Rs 10.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
