This video comes from MRD Vlogs on YouTube. The visuals showcase the new Safari emerging out of the truck to travel to the dealerships. This strengthens the information that the official launch is just around the corner. The model in this video is white in colour. Firstly, the rear profile becomes visible. There is the trademark connected taillamps via a light bar which oozes a premium feel. Additionally, the rugged skid plate and sporty bumper ensure that this is a solid SUV. Thereafter, the new-age 19-inch alloys emerge, which look neat. Finally, the front section comes out with sleek LED DRLs on the bonnet and the main headlamp cluster on the extreme edges of the bumper.
Interior and Features
The vlogger also offers a glimpse of the cabin. This model comes with a light-coloured interior theme, ventilated front seats, a free-floating touchscreen infotainment display, a four-spoke steering wheel with control buttons and an illuminated Tata logo in the centre, a textured dashboard with integrated AC vents, a 360-degree camera, plenty of use of chrome on the outside, touch panel for the HVAC control, and more. Both the Harrier and Safari have retained the powertrains from their previous models. As a result, these SUVs still feature the familiar 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine, which delivers 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a torque converter automatic transmission. Additionally, they are equipped with terrain response and various drive modes. It’s worth mentioning that a turbo petrol engine option may be introduced in the future, with pricing details to be disclosed at the launch. In the market, the Harrier and Safari face competition from rivals such as the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.
