Nissan Kicks and Datsun Go and Go+ will come with BS6 compliant engines along with CVT gearbox.
Earlier we reported that Nissan launched a base XE trim of the kicks to improve the falling sales and now reports suggest that it might even come with a CVT gearbox. Likewise, Datsun will also adopt this transmission for the Go and GO+.
Nissan will bring the BS6 compliant to the Kicks by later this year and will also bring the CVT gearbox. This step is taken to keep the trend of automatics going and the SUV stands in a fair competition among its rivals.
Mr Hardeep Singh Brar, Head of Nissan India, said, “the introduction of automatic transmission will help the brand to stay in the trend and will give a wider choice to buyers who are looking for an automatic gearbox”.
Nissan’s sub-brand, Datsun, will also bring the BS6 compliant engines for Go and GO+ by this festive season. These cars compete with the likes of Renault Kwid and Maruti WagonR, both of which have automatic transmission.
