Renault is set to launch the facelift of the Kwid and we have a small video of the Climber variant, explaining the exteriors and interiors of the hatchback.
Another facelift for the Renault Kwid will be seen soon, as the updated hatchback has been teased officially. The facelift has already started reaching dealerships and our dealership sources confirm that the bookings have also commenced.
The new walkaround video of the facelift that we have, shows the changes onboard. What Renault has done here is that it has put a tinge of the Triber in the facelift. The front fascia is slightly different from the current model.
Actually, there are a lot of big changes that you will notice on the front. It gets new split headlamps below the LED DRLs. It is spotted in a new shade of blue with orange accents over the mirrors, headlamp housing, roof rails and many other places.
It gets new steel wheels, which are designed to look alloy wheels. The body cladding comes only on the Renault Kwid Climber and not the regular one. At the back, it looks similar to the current model.
Inside the cabin, there are orange accents above the door handles, on the seats,on the gear knob and surrounding the touchscreen infotainment. The 8-inch system comes from the Triber, which gets Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
Other changes inside the cabin include refreshed dashboard styling, upgraded seat upholstery and a new all-digital instrument console. On the AMT variant, you get a knob selector type for the gears.
We expect the Renault Kwid facelift to come with the BS-6 compliant 1.0 Litre petrol engine. The transmission options will remain the same, with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
In the meanwhile, we can now confirm that the launch of Renault Kwid Facelift is scheduled for tomorrow, 1st October. The prices of the facelift are likely to increased by Rs 10,000 or so.
