The prices of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG Coupe series, including the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe, have been revealed. The series includes the S63 AMG and S65 AMG.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe: £124,715 (Rs. 1.28 Crore)
Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe: £183,065 (Rs. 1.88 Crore)
There is news that Mercedes-Benz may be developing an entry level S500 AMG Coupe for those looking for the style and features of the S-Class Coupe with a much less powerful engine. It is expected to cost about £96,565 ( Rs. 99.25 Lakh)
Mercedes-Benz India is expected to launch the S-Class Coupe in India, especially the AMG models, but the time-frame for the launch is not known. We will keep you posted.

After months of speculation and rumour circulation, the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe has been officially revealed. Mercedes-Benz already sells the high-performance S63 AMG coupe, a comfortable fast two door model with plenty of style. The styling differences between the S65 AMG Coupe and S63 AMG Coupe are subtle since Mercedes-Benz and AMG just want these cars to be fast. So the kit is essentially the same. The major difference however is the heart of the vehicle, while the S63 AMG Coupe comes with the powerful with its V8 engine, the new S65 AMG takes things to the next level with a 6-litre V12 engine. So let’s find out that apart from the growling engine what more is the S65 AMG Coupe packing to lure prospective buyers to bring out their chequebooks.
Price & Availability In India:
We expect the Mercedes S65 Coupe to be priced around a hefty Rs 1.9 Crore (Exclusive of Taxes and Duties). With the European launch expected to happen in mid 2015, given the huge fan-base Mercedes has in India -especially the AMG variants- the Germans might be tempted to get the S65 Coupe to India soon after that.
Specifications & Features:
The Mercedes S65 Coupe is simply put the elder sibling of the S63 Coupe. That said, when it comes to Mercedes and their vehicles a subtle touch here and there is often which becomes the defining aspect of a series. But we start with the least subtle change in the S65 Coupe, The Engine.
ENGINE:
Just like the SL65 AMG and G65 AMG, it features a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine producing 621 BHP and 1,000 Nm of torque. Driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed Speedshift automatic box, the engine makes the Mercedes S65 Coupe to covers the 0-100 KMPH sprint in 4.1 seconds, two tenths of a second quicker than the S65 AMG. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 KMPH.
The Euro 6 emissions standards-compliant engine managing a claimed 23.7 mpg (about 8 KMPL) and emitting 279g/km CO2.
INTERIORS:
Inside the cabin of the S65 Coupe, we have a new three-spoke steering wheel linked to a speed-sensitive variable ratio setup. A standard head-up display projects the speedometer, as well as navigation instructions, traffic signs, speed limits and cruise control info, onto an 8.7-inch patch of windscreen ahead of the driver. The AMG-developed sport seats are electrically adjustable, coming with memory function and heating. Climate control comes as standard.
The ‘Exclusive Package’ adds Nappa leather upholstery and diamond-pattern perforation for the seats.
EXTERIORS:
Chrome detailing helps in distinguishing the new two-door coupe model from the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG coupe, most notably upfront, where it replaces the black mesh finish for the grille and air intakes. Chrome inserts on the side skirts and the chrome trimmed exhaust tips at the rear give the S65 coupe a stylish look. The car boasts of 20-inch alloy wheels that have been ceramically polished. Keeping the S65 in contact with the ground are 255/40 tyres upfont and 285/35 tyres at the rear.
FEATURES:
- Curve Tilting Function: Enables the car to “lean into bends in a manner similar to a motorcyclist or skier.” Active between 15kmph and 180kmph, it’s designed for a more comfortable driving experience, rather than to reach higher cornering speeds.
- The Magic Body Control System: Comes as standard as is the case with other Coupe’s.
- Speed-Sensitive Variable Steering: Provides more assistance when in ‘Comfort’ suspension mode and stiffens up for a more precise experience when in the ‘Sport’ setting.
- The Intelligent Drive System: Equips the S65 Coupe with, 360 degree camera, Active Parking assist tech, Surround Sound, Keyless Go and Driving assistance package plus.
