Royal Enfield has finally updated its entire lineup with ABS, the last one being Bullet series. Here is an updated price list of all the models.

As we know, the new safety norms for two-wheelers have commenced and the manufacturers have updated most of the bikes in their lineup. For two-wheelers above 125cc, ABS is compulsory and below that, CBS is neccessary.

Many two-wheeler manufacturers had not equipped their bigger displacement bikes with ABS till now. One such example was Royal Enfield, which started launching the updated bikes in August 2018.

It had bikes ranging from 350cc to 500cc, but still they came only with disc and drum brakes. Thunderbird was available with dual disc brakes, Classic with a single front disc and Bullet series with drum brakes.

Bullet 350 and 350 ES are available with a single-ABS setup, while rest of the bikes get Dual-ABS. The solo ABS is paired with Rear Lift-off protection (RLP) at the back.

The dual-ABS models have received a price hike of nearly Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000. The Bullet 350 demands a rise of Rs 4500 and 350 ES sees a mere Rs 1500 price hike.

Usually Royal Enfield motorcycles weigh nearly 200 Kgs. In the absence of ABS, the rear wheel would lock up easily during sudden braking. With such a heavy bike, it would be even riskier for the rider.

The 650 Twins already came equipped with dual-ABS from the time of the launch. Their prices start from Rs 2.50 Lakhs to Rs 2.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
