Royal Enfield recently launched the new 650 Twins in India. Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are currently the most premium offering from the brand globally.

1. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650

It is for sure that RE is planning to spawn more motorcycles using the platform of 650 Twins. Although, they have confirmed that new motorcycles will not be launched in 2019.

Currently, Thunderbird is the only true cruiser in the lineup. Using the twin-cylinder 650cc engine will take the Thunderbird is a different league. It will be one of the cheapest 500cc and above motorcycle in India.

The twin-cylinder 650cc engine puts out 47 BHP and 52 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

2. Royal Enfield Himalayan 650

The most-widely speculated bike from the 650 Twins platform is Himalayan 650. Currently, Himalayan uses a 411cc engine that puts out 24.5 BHP and 32 Nm of peak torque.

A lot of customer reviews indicate that its 411cc engine might feel a bit under powered. Also, Himalayan with a 650cc engine will enhance its touring abilities even more.

Although, Himalayan 650 and Thunderbird 650 will retain their original classic styling.

3. Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 500

A couple months back, a random picture of a completely new RE bike came up on the internet. It sported the badging of Classic 500, but had a different bodywork and tires as well.

However, the same bike was earlier sold as Bullet Trials. It was a ‘Scrambler-type’ version of the Bullet series with a upswept exhaust, short front and rear fenders, dual-purpose tires and a carrier at the end.

The spy shots of these bike have come up a lot of times. We expect RE to offer this variant as a Limited Edition variant based on Classic 500.
