Volkswagen is starting its SUV launches in India with the Tiguan All Space and T-Roc. The latter will be launched in India on 18th March, after being unveiled at the Auto Expo. It will enter the Indian market by the CBU route, thus keeping the prices a bit higher.

Volkswagen T-Roc, in India, will only get a petrol engine. It will come with a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder TSI engine, that produces 148 BHP and 240 Nm of peak torque. T-Roc will be a petrol-automatic SUV only, paired with the 7-speed DSG.

The SUV is actually smaller than its competitors but equal or probably better in terms of premium feel and quality. Volkswagen has placed it as an urban compact SUV but will price it towards Rs 20 Lakhs to Rs 22 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
