BMW Is Recalling 2009 BMW X5 And X6 SUVs With Rear Brake Disc Defect

BMW is in process of recalling the year 2009 models of its SUV BMW X5 and BMW X6 which were manufactured by the company in the USA between 14 December 2009 and 16 December 2009. The reason for this recall is the potentially rear brake disc defect which in an emergency situation might reduce the performance of the brakes and could even break the disc in extreme conditions resulting in a crash as the stopping distance will increase eventually. No information has been disclosed by BMW as how the company would deal with such a problem and the solution or when the customers are expected to receive a recall notice, but we expect that the problem fades away soon. BMW Launches The BMW X5 2011 – Will Be Launched In India Soon

BMW recently launched the new version of the popular SUV the BMW X5 with a few minor changes incorporated to make this car better in performance as well as appearance. The car has been released with minor face-lifting including the reshaped front end, air intakes inspired by the BMW X5 M, a redesigned rear bumper and the car will now come with almost every part painted in the body’s main color rather than black. BMW has also added a distinct contoured hood, a large BMW kidney grille with dual round headlights BMW X5 2011 Features The most important changes are made on the inside of the hood with the replacement of the older engines with the newer and more powerful engines. The xDrive 35i with a 3.0 litre inline 6 cylinder engine producing 303PS and sprints 0-60mph in 6.4 sec, will replace the previous xDrive 30i, and will be coming with most of the 2011 BMW line up. The xDrive 50i will have a 4.4liter V8 twin turbo engine producing 404PS and sprinting to 60mph in 5.3 sec, will replace the older xDrive 48i.
