India will get the new Hyundai i10 much before the rest of the world. Official sources of Hyundai India have revealed that they will launch the new facelifted Hyundai i10 (pictures here) in India ahead of the Paris Motor Show 2010 which is scheduled to start on 2 October 2010. image credit – Overdrive The variant to be launched in India will feature a 1.2 Litre MPFI Kappa Petrol Engine VVTI engine with more power than the existing Kappa 1.2 Litre engine without VVTI technology. Hyundai i10 is the highest selling Hyundai car in India and is also the most fuel efficient car of its category. This does not stop Hyundai to make it even better, Hyundai has created a smaller Kappa engine of 1 Litre capacity for the refreshed avatar of Hyundai i10 which will be showcased in Paris Motor Show from 2 to 17 October 2010. Hyundai spokesperson says that the engine is a stripped down version of 1.2 Litre Kappa engine with intelligent Variable Valve Timing or VVTI, which makes it a very efficient engine. Along with a smaller displacement and more efficient engine, the new Hyundai i10 Kappa VVT 1 Litre Engine car will also feature some remarkable cosmetic lifts. This will include styling clues from new ix35 crossover. The new car will feature a new sharper headlight and front grille design, newly designed tail lamp cluster and some other cosmetic changes at the rear. Two years back Hyundai must not have expected the Hyundai i10 to be so successful, but it turned out to be huge success and has surpassed the benchmark set by Hyundai Santro with sales of 7000 a month, by 12000 a month. And now being a huge success it is being considered as the flagship model for Hyundai. Hyundai i10 has been a huge success for Hyundai in India. In past one year, Hyundai is one of the few car companies which have observed record sales increase, thanks to Hyundai i10 which has made this happen. After this positive response , Hyundai has also launched i10 with Kappa-Engine of 1.2 L capacity. Earlier, the engine was iRDE 1.1 L. What’s the difference between i10 Kappa and i10 iRDE ? Technology: Kappa is a technically advanced engine as compared to iRDE Engine of Hyundai i10. the iRDE engine was an enhanced version of Hyundai Santro Engine.
