The British luxury car maker, Jaguar Land Rover which is owned by Tata Motors is now planning to build its own manufacturing base in India, a manufacturing base where they will be building vehicles from scratch. This clearly points out one thing- Jaguar and Land Rover cars are going to become cheaper to own in India! Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has officially commenced the production of its Luxury Saloon Jaguar XF in its facility in Pune. Not only this the locally built Jaguar XF models will also be powered with Jaguar’s globally acclaimed 2.2-Litre diesel engine which will be its maiden innings in Indian market. Jaguar To Showcase 3 New Cars At LA Auto Show In November 2012

The 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show is round the corner and Jaguar has disclosed that it will be showcasing three new cars at the motor show. Starting from 28th November, LA Auto Show will witness the debut of the fastest and most powerful saloon the British manufacturer has ever produced, the Jaguar XFR-S, although the company claims so. Land Rover will be showcasing their US spec version of the Range Rover which is supposed to get a naturally aspirated, 5.0 litre, V8 engine. Jaguar will also be showcasing their recently unveiled F-Type, with an exclusive Black pack performance trim.

Jaguar XF 3.0 Diesel Local Assembly Starts In India– Bookings Open

Tata Motors has started to locally assemble the Jaguar XF sedan in India very recently according to some media reports. The Jaguar XF which was being sold in the Indian market via the Import route till now will be assembled at Tata Motor’s manufacturing facility near Chikli, Pune via the CKD route, attracting lesser import duties. This manufacturing unit was owned previously jointly by Tata Motors and Mercedes Benz.
