BMW India has launched its new 2013 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe at a price of Rs. 86.40 Lakhs ex-showroom price in Mumbai on 8th November 2012. The new 6 series Gran Coupe has been launched with only one trim level which is the BMW 640d. This car is powered by a twin-turbocharged CRDI Diesel engine which produces a peak power of 313 BHP.
It is a 4 door versions with seating space for 5 adults and comes in 9 different body colours. The 6 series Grab Coupe is offered with an optional M Package. The interiors get leather upholstery in Black, Ivory White and Cinnamon Brown colour options. There is special American Oak wood trim on the interiors with brushed aluminum finishing touches.

Under the hood of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe 640d is a 3 litre twin-turbocharged 6 cylinder diesel engine with rear wheel drive. The peak power of the car is 313 BHP @ 4400 RPM and peak torque of 630 Nm between 1500 to 2500 RPM. Interestingly the fuel mileage is quite impressive too at 18.18 KMPL ARAI certified mileage. The 0 to 100 KMPH time is claimed to be 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 250 KMPH. The engine is mated to an 8 speed automatic conventional torque converter based automatic transmission system.
