Honda Motorcycles and Scooters (HMSI) has launched the 2016 Honda Activa i to infuse some freshness with the cheapest Activa variant on sale in India. The new Honda Activa i Price has been kept at INR 46,596 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The revised scooter gets three new colours along with a set of new decals. The 2016 Honda Activa i price is same as that of the outgoing model. It maybe noted that the Honda Activa i sits below the Activa 3G 110cc model in the manufacturer’s scooter portfolio. Speaking on the launch of the 2016 Honda Activa-i automatic scooter, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, HMSI said, “In line with our strategy to surprise our customers by adding freshness to our products regularly, the 2016 Activa-i is Honda’s seventh new model of 2016. With this, we are confident of driving rapid scooterization of two-wheeler industry.
2016 Honda Activa i Price
As we said, prices of the Honda Activa i are the same as those of the outgoing model. This means that the Honda Activa i continues to retail for a starting price of INR 46,596 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Compared to the Honda Activa, the Activa i is almost INR 2,500 cheaper. 2016 Honda Activa i Colours
The 2016 Activa i comes with three new colours, viz. Pearl Trance Yellow, Candy Jazzy Blue, and Imperial Metallic Red. While the new shades of Yellow and Blue are available on the standard variant, the Deluxe model gets the new metallic Red. Apart from this, both the variants of the scooters also get a set of new decals. Other than being available the new colours, the standard variant continues to come with Pearl Amazing White and Black. The Deluxe variant too retains its previous colours, viz. Purple Metallic and Pearl Amazing White.
There are new decals as well, while the scooter does not get a price hike.
2016 Honda Activa i Specifications
Other than the introduction of the new colours, the Activa i remains unchanged. This means that powering this entry-level Activa is a 110cc single-cylinder Petrol engine that pumps out a max. power of 8 bhp at 7500rpm and a peak torque of 8.74 Nm at 5500rpm. The engine comes paired to a CVT. It also boasts of Honda’s much publicized Honda Eco Technology (HET).
