In the ongoing festive season, Datsun has launched the facelifts of its hatchback and MPV. 2018 Datsun GO and GO Plus gets a host of visual upgrades and many feature additions, making it one of the most features equipped car in its segment. On the other hand, Datsun GO Plus continues to be the cheapest MPV available in India. After their launch, this is the first time that the GO and GO Plus have received any update. With the facelifts, Datsun hopes to improve its condition in the Indian market.
Now, the GO Facelift starts at Rs 3.29 Lakhs and the GO+ starts at Rs 3.83 Lakhs. Datsun has reduced prices of the facelift by Rs 9,000 for GO and by Rs 12,000 for GO+. The deliveries of the cars will begin starting today.
First, we talk about the new features. Both the facelifted models get a segment first 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice recognition. The center console is revised and now looks more premium. Also, Lockable glove box, USB charging port, Follow-me-home headlamps and LED DRLs are other important feature additions.
2018 Datsun GO and GO Plus offer best-in-class safety features. They come with speed alert system, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS and EBD with brake assist. These safety features are standard across all variants.
The design changes are much better and offer a premium rich feel to the cars. On the exterior, the sharp creases on the bonnet make it look a bit sporty. Adding up to the look of the cars are vertical LED DRLs, body colored ORVMs, a new intense set of alloy wheels and revisions to the front grille and bumpers.
Inside the cabin, the layout and color combination remains the same. There are a few additions like a new touchscreen infotainment, rectangular AC vents instead of circular ones, a USB port, rear power windows and more.
The 2018 Datsun GO and GO Plus continue with the same 1.2 Litre 3-cylinder petrol engines. This petrol engine gives out 68 BHP of power and 104 Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, both the cars use a 5-speed manual transmission.
The claimed mileage of this petrol engine is 19.83 kmpl. On real-road conditions, it could come down to around 16 kmpl in city and 18 kmpl on highway.
Both the cars come in total 7 color combinations, which are as follows:

- Sun Stone (New)
At this price, Datsun GO competes with the likes of Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Tata Tiago. It will also compete with the upcoming Hyundai Santro, which comes with many segment first features.
