The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will receive some mechanical upgrades and an updated instrument cluster. The updated Dominar can launch in India by early 2019.
Dominar 400 is one of the most ferocious looking bikes from Bajaj. There is a reason for calling it a power cruiser. The Dominar is basically a fusion of a sports bike and a cruiser, with traits of a sports bike but seating style of a cruiser. It was launched back in 2016 and since then it is performing just fine in the market. Now, we have the latest camouflaged spy pictures of the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, which gets some mechanical upgrades and a revised instrument cluster.
The updated Dominar will use Upside-down Telescopic forks instead on the conventional telescopic. It also receives a twin-pod exhaust canister, revamped rear view mirrors, and an updated instrument cluster. In the earlier spy picture, we could see the front disc brake on the left side, which is due to the addition of USD Forks.
Various reports say that the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 might also get a ride-by-wire system. The twin-pod exhaust has an inbuilt catalytic converter. Earlier, a box for the exhaust was placed below the engine which decreased the ground clearance as well as increased the weight.
The updated instrument cluster will now get functions like a gear-position indicator, distance to empty, average fuel efficiency and instant fuel economy.
The engine specs on the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will remain the same. It will continue with the 373cc liquid cooled engine that produces 35 HP and 35 Nm. The engine pairs up with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
Other features on the Dominar 400 include LED headlamps, Twin-Channel ABS, Reverse LCD Split screen, Auto Headlamp ON and a slipper clutch.
Dominar 400 is one the slowest performer in Bajaj’s lineup. Despite having a frugal yet economical 373cc engine and many premium features, it still fails to make a big play. The prices of Dominar start at Rs 1.49 Lakhs and goes up to 1.62 Lakhs (ABS) variant.
The 2019 Bajaj Dominar will see a minor increase of around Rs 10,000 from the current value. Dominar has already seen 3-4 price hikes till now since its launch.
