Volkswagen has been associated with Motorsports in India since 2010 organising various Racing and Rally events.

The race-spec VW Virtus GT has been unveiled by the VW Motorsport division in India. It was established back in 2010 in India and has organized racing and rally events successfully for 10 years. The iconic products from the German carmaker like the Polo and Ameo were a part of this event for a long time. Since these no longer exist in our market, Virtus has taken their place. While you might be impressed by its aesthetic changes, the upgrades under the hood are more meaningful and substantial. This Virtus takes the regular 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine found on the standard version and has calibrated it to output a whopping 215 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. This powerful engine is mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox and the tyres are 17-inch MRF units on Wheels India rims. The combination of these changes results in a version of the Virtus that anyone would want in their garage. What are your thoughts on this special edition version of the VW Virtus?
