Have you wondered who would win the tug of war between the Toyota Fortuner 4×4 and Mahindra Bolero Camper 4×4? Well, it is time to find out. Fortuner is the most popular full-size off-roader in our market. It has posted consistent sales in its every generation. With the departure of its arch-rival, Ford Endeavour, from the Indian market, it rules the charts solely. On the other hand, the Boleo Camper is the most popular pickup truck in rural and semi-urban environments. People use it for all kinds of applications including a pickup truck, off-roading vehicle and people-mover.

Toyota Fortuner 4×4 vs Mahindra Bolero Camper 4×4 – Tug of War

The video has been uploaded by the famous YouTuber, Mr. Indian Hacker who keeps posting such unique content of popular demand. The cars are tied up from the rear and the tug of war takes place in an isolated location with a dirt surface. In the first attempt, the Fortuner overpowers the Bolero completely and pulls it without breaking a sweat. This experiment was done with both the vehicles being in 4×2 configuration. In the second attempt, the same fate followed the Bolero despite putting up a better fight. This time around, both vehicles were set to the 4×4 configurations. The same result was achieved in the third attempt indicating the sheer power of the Fortuner.

Specs Comparison

The Toyota Fortuner is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol unit (164 bhp / 245 Nm) and a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine (201 bhp / 420 Nm). It is paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. With the automatic transmission, the torque produced is a massive 500 Nm with the diesel mill. The prices of the Fortuner range from Rs 31.79 lakh to Rs 44.63 lakh, ex-showroom.

On the other hand, the Mahindra Bolero Camper comes with a 2.5-litre diesel powertrain that outputs 75 hp and 200 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by a 5-speed manual gearbox. It costs between Rs 9.05 lakh and Rs 9.54 lakh, ex-showroom. The price difference between these two vehicles is a colossal Rs 35 lakh which is also reflected in the performance.
