The new Mahindra Scorpio S4 Plus was launched recently. Goes on sale with both 2WD and 4WD options
Riding on the stellar success of the new Mahindra Scorpio, the manufacturer has silently introduced a new trim for its very popular SUV. The new Mahindra Scorpio S4+ is available in both 2WD and 4Wd options and the new trim comes with some additional features over the S4 trim. The S4 Plus trim, like most other trim levels for the Scorpio, is available with the 2.2-litre MHawk engine variant. It is being said that the S4+ will be followed by the launch of the automatic variant of the new Scorpio. Price
Followingย are the prices for the new Scorpio S4+ –
- 2WD — INR 9.7 Lakhs
- 4WD — INR 10.83 Lakhs
(All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi)
At this price, the new S4+ย is over INR 40,000 costlier than S4 and almost INR 80,000 cheaper than the S6 trim.

Features
In addition to all the features available on the S4, the S4+ trim also getsย dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, panic brake indication, auto door lock,ย power window controls on the door and follow-me home headlights.
Specs
As we said above, the S4+ is powered by the same 2.2-litre engine that powersย the majority of Scorpio variants. This engine has a maximum power of 120 bhp @ย 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 280 Nm betweenย 1,800ย andย 2,800 rpm. The engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. As we said above, the car could also get an auto transmission variant in near future.
