Renault Duster Petrol Automatic Launched at Rs. 10.32 lakh!

Renault has launched a petrol automatic variant of the Duster SUV in India. The Duster has always been a strong seller for the French car maker in India, but the diesel variant has been the mainstay of the Duster lineup. However, Renault now feels that there is sufficient demand for petrol variants. In order to bolster the Duster petrol lineup, Renault has introduced the Duster petrol automatic variant equipped with a CVT mated to a 1.5 L petrol. Renault Duster Petrol Automatic has been launched Rs. 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Read on to know more about the new Renault Duster Petrol CVT price, mileage and specifications.

Along with the introduction of the new petrol CVT variant, Renault has also added a new ‘Fiery Red’ colour to the Duster lineup. Also, the 1.5 L petrol engine powering the Duster automatic petrol has replaced the 1.6 L Petrol entirely. Which means even the petrol manual variants of the Duster are now powered by the 106 PS 1.5 L Petrol engine as well.

Renault Duster Petrol Automatic Price

Renault is offering the petrol automatic Duster in a new RxS trim that slots in between the RxL and RxZ trim. The RxS trim will be the only variant on offer. Duster petrol automatic is priced at Rs. 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Renault Duster Petrol Automatic Specifications

Unlike the diesel automatic variants of the Duster, the petrol auto gets a CVT. Also, while the manual petrol variants of the Duster used to feature a 1.6 L petrol unit, the petrol auto variant receives a 1.5 L engine. This 1.5 Petrol unit now also powers the Duster petrol manual. Power output of the new Duster Petrol CVT stands at 106 PS.

Renault Duster Petrol Automatic Mileage

The real world fuel efficiency of a CVT gearbox depends a lot on one’s driving style. Expect a claimed mileage of around 13-14 KMPL and a real world mileage of around 10-11 KMPL.

Currently, in this particular segment, the Hyundai Creta and Honda BR-V are available with petrol automatic options. Once launched, the Renault Duster petrol automatic will rival go head to head with the Creta Petrol AT and Honda BR-V CVT.
