Royal Enfield Bullet 350 ABS launch soon; Rs 12,000 price hike expected

The last one in the stable, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, is going to get ABS soon, probably by next month. A price hike of Rs 10,000 – Rs 12,000 is expected.

Royal Enfield has successfully updated most of its bikes with ABS. The last one remaining is the entry-level Bullet 350. Last month, it got a front disc and rear disc brakes, which increased its prices by Rs 12,000.

We expect the Bullet 350 ABS to launch early next month. Like Bullet 500, it will also sport a single-channel ABS setup, as far as we expect. The prices will increase by Rs 10000-12000, taking the prices near to Rs 1.38 Lakhs.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350

Currently, Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is available with a 276mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brakes. It is currently priced at Rs 1.28 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

With this, all the motorcycles in RE stable will be updated as per the upcoming safety regulations. The safety norms are scheduled to kick in from April 2019.

Mechanically, Bullet 350 remains the same. It gets a 346cc air-cooled engine with TwinSpark ignition, that produces 27.2 BHP and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a standard 5-speed gearbox.

For suspension purposes, it uses 35mm telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the back. Bullet 350 is one of the heaviest Royal Enfield motorcycle, with its kerb weight of 194 kgs.

Bullet is the longest running Royal Enfield Motorcycle ever. Long before Classic and Thunderbird came, Bullet 350 was their best selling motorcycle worldwide.

Bullet 350 uses a single step-up seat, which is only found in Bullet 500. Also, it is available only in Black colour.

The iconic motorcycle continues to be the second best selling RE motorcycle. For the month of December 2018, it made a sale of 11,645 units. It falls short of Classic 350 by a huge margin of around 23,000 units. Thunderbird 350 stands at the third rank with 5,789 units for December.
