Ford India is planning to launch facelift versions of Figo hatchback along with 3 new updated models, including Aspire, Endeavour and Mustang. Major updates will be seen on the Aspire facelift and Figo facelift, while Mustang and Endeavour will receive minor updates. Also, mostly Aspire will be the first facelift model to be launched. Major updates in the Figo facelift and Aspire include new torque converter automatic transmission in both the cars, new Sync3 touch infotainment system along with a new petrol engine. Both of these cars will mostly come in 2018 itself. On the other hand, the Endeavour and Mustang might just get engine upgrades along with new gearboxes. However, the facelift versions of both the high-end cars might come in 2019.
The Figo Facelift is expected to launch by October 2018. It receives a revised styling, which includes some minor cosmetic changes. In the interior, it gets a new dashboard styling, kit and Torque Converter Automatic Transmission instead of the current Dual-Clutch one. In addition, it gets a new 1.2 Litre Petrol engine that produces 96 BHP worth of power. The new gearbox will come with the petrol variant. Given to the new updates, the Figo facelift is expected to cost a little more than its current price.
The Ford Aspire will mainly get updates on the inside but will also get a new front end styling. Other updates, like Figo, include an updated dashboard, some tweaks to the suspension and a whole new Torque converter unit instead of the dual-clutch automatic. Aspire also gets a new 1.2 Litre Three-cylinder engine producing 96 BHP worth of power. The 1.5 Litre diesel engine that produces 100 BHP worth of power, will be carried on the new model too. It is noticed that a lot of styling elements are copied from the latest offering Ford Freestyle. The Facelift Aspire is expected to launch by June 2018. Like the Figo, the Aspire is also expected to be priced at a higher price. Aspire lies in a competitive sub-4 metre compact sedan segment. Accordingly, it will be priced aggressively for maintaining the competition.
The American beast Muscle car, Ford Mustang will get an upgraded engine from its current 5.0 Litre V8 engine. Currently, it has a six-speed automatic transmission, which will upgrade to the 10-speed Automatic gearbox. The Endeavour is likely to get mild updates including minor cosmetic changes and a new rumoured 2.0 Litre Diesel engine. Currently, Endeavour facelift is available globally with gets the 2.0 Litre Diesel engine and another 2.0 Litre twin-turbo engine. The 2.0 Litre diesel produces 180 BHP worth of power and 420 Nm worth of torque. Whereas, the twin-turbo engine produces 213 BHP worth of power and 500 Nm worth of torque. Both the cars are expected to come by early 2019.
