Jeep Meridian Features

The first short video clip shows the SUV undergoing mild off-roading as it passes through a pond with ease. Basically, the driver is shown saying that he’s going for a swim and the Meridian is then seen gliding over a waterbody. In the second clip, the SUV is shown going through an off-road trail effortlessly. The much-anticipated SUV is basically the three-row version of the Compass that features an extra row of seats. It features the same platform and even comes with pretty much the same hardware. The new model will be produced at the company’s JV production facility in Ranjangaon with Tata Motors. It will have a high level of localization of more than 80 per cent to keep the cost under check.

The highlights of the equipment list will include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera and more. Up front the Jeep Meridian look a fair bit like the Commander sold abroad but inside, the similarities aren’t much owing to the revised layout with theatre-style “stadium” seats. The cabin is a lot more spacious now due to the extended wheelbase, while the panoramic sunroof helps the cabin feel airier.
