KTM RC 200 ABS has been launched in India. It is now priced at Rs 1.88 Lakhs (ex-showroom), making it costlier by Rs 9,000 than the Non-ABS variant.
KTM has upgraded its entry-level sportsbike, RC 200 with ABS. Like Duke 200, RC 200 also gets a single-channel ABS setup. It is priced at Rs 1.88 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
KTM RC 200 gets a single-channel ABS from Bosch, just like the other KTM bikes. The bookings for the ABS variant have already commenced. The deliveries of the same are expected to begin by the end of February.
The non-ABS KTM RC 200 is still available in the market, still stocks last. Now, KTM is left with an update for Duke 250. The quarter-litre Duke was the latest one in the lineup.
RC 200 is a fully-faired sportsbike from the brand. KTM RC390 is also available in the Indian market. The 390cc sportsbike is expected to get an upgrade soon.
KTM RC 200 uses a 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine delivering 25 BHP and 19.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It misses out on a slipper clutch, which is available in the higher variants.
Mileage expectation from the bike
This bike is one of the lightest KTM bikes, weighing at just 137 kgs. However, it gets a taller seat height at 820mm off the ground.
Features onboard include a fully digital instrument cluster, clip-on handlebars, Turn indicators on the windscreen, Dual projector headlamps and USD Front forks.
In this price range, KTM RC 200 competes with the likes of Yamaha R15 V3 ABS, Bajaj Dominar and Honda CBR250R. If you have an excess in the budget, you can also try for TVS Apache RR310.
