The aftermarket car modification houses are so incredibly talented that they can make any car look like just about any other car.
This unique aftermarket conversion of a Maruti 800 into a Rolls Royce is commendable. Now, to convert one of the most affordable cars in the world into one of the most expensive cars in the world is no mean feat. But looking at the final product will surely wow you. Maruti 800 is an iconic product in the Indian market. It might be discontinued now but there can not be anyone in the country who doesn’t recognize it or has not sat in one. With the latest emission and safety norms, the classic Maruti 800 was officially discontinued and the Alto 800 has replaced it.

Maruti 800 Converted to Rolls Royce
This video has been posted by the_night_hunters_47 on Instagram. It captures a Maruti 800 travelling on the road with a Rolls Royce fascia. To be honest, one can’t recognize the donor model at all, especially in a video that goes by so fast. There is a massive rectangular grille at the front just like we see on the original Rolls Royce products, a sleek headlamp cluster, a secondary grille on the bumper, the rectangular overall appearance, the upright bonnet with a boxy silhouette and a low-slung bumper reminiscent of sports cars.

In the second phase of the video, one could see the car parked. That is when one could see the side profile slightly. It is from here that one could establish that this is not the car we’ve been so slyly led to believe but a humble and loveable Maruti 800. The top part of the bonnet, side pillars, ORVMs and roof have been painted black to lend a sporty appearance. However, the side body panels are what give away the true identity. We are barely able to see the rear profile but it looks like the car shop has extended the rear structure as well.

The rather basic and plain side profile takes away the charm and the illusion of it being a premium Rolls Royce car. Nonetheless, we really appreciate that the automobile modification house has gone to this much trouble just to make a unique version of the regular 800. This is a great passion project for the designer. We see a lot of such projects these days. But make sure to not do it in your everyday car since all modifications are banned in our country.
