Like the Ignis and Swift, Maruti Baleno Limited Edition is also launched in India. The Limited Edition is an accessory kit and is priced around Rs 26,990 above the normal price of the variant.
Just now, the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ignis limited editions were launched. Looks like Maruti is going to make the most of this festive season, as it also launches the Maruti Baleno Limited edition. The Limited Edition comes as an accessory kit over any variant and Nexa charges around Rs 26,990 extra for that. If you take it separately, the cost goes of all these upgrades and additions goes till Rs 34,000. It gets some visual upgrades and some feature additions. The Limited Edition is available across all Nexa dealerships.
The visual changes include the addition of a front skirt, rear skirt, side skirt, and body moldings. Inside the cabin, it gets black quilted seat covers with carbon fiber finish, 3D floor mats, and an illuminated scuff guard.
The Nexa lifestyle offers premium cushions, smart key finder, Nexa key ring, and a premium tissue box. These are all the changes on the Limited Edition. Since it is just a minor addition to the original Baleno, the Limited Edition might come as a factory fitted kit.
Moreover, it continues with the same mechanical specs. It gets a 1.2 Litre K-Series petrol engine and a 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 82 BHP of power and 113 Nm of torque. The tried and tested diesel engine makes 74 BHP of power and 190 Nm of torque.
For transmission duties, it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission along with an optional CVT gearbox. The mileage claimed on the petrol unit is around 20 kmpl and that on diesel is around 27 kmpl.
Features onboard the Maruti Baleno Limited edition remain the same. It seems to be based on the top-spec trim. It gets LED DRL, LED headlamps, Projector headlamps and Electric ORVMs on the exteriors. Inside the cabin, it gets Tilt Steering, Auto AC, 60:40 Split rear seat, Push Start-Stop button, SmartPlay Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Steering mounted audio control.
Safety features onboard the Baleno include Auto-Dimming IRVM, Reverse parking sensors with a camera, Auto Headlamps, Dual Airbags, and ABS. Dual Airbags, ABS and seat pre-tensioners are standard across all variants.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno also comes in an ‘RS’ variant, which is basically a turbocharged petrol version. It comes with a 1.0 Liter Turbocharged engine that produces 101 BHP of power and 150 Nm of torque.
The prices of the Baleno start from Rs 5.38 Lakhs and go up to Rs 8.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). The Baleno RS is based on the top-spec trim and it retails for Rs 8.47 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).
