The MG Hector is likely to sport a price tag in-between the range of INR 12 lakh to INR 18 Lakh, hence, competing against Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.
The launch of the MG Hector is right around the corner. It is going to be the British automaker’s first car in the Indian market. According to our estimations, the prices of this SUV are likely to fall in-between the range of INR 12 lakh to INR 18 lakh. With this, it becomes quite obvious that it is going to compete against the likes of Tata Harrier and the Mahindra XUV500.
Though a little late to the party, the Hector will have several tricks up its sleeve to mark its entrance. The most important of these is going to be its sheer size. Going by the spy shots and considering the fact that it is based on the Baojun 530, the Hector is going to be the largest vehicle in its segment.
Infact, despite falling in the D-segment of SUV, it is going to get the dimensions of a premium SUV, comparable to that of the Honda CR-V. In addition to having bigger dimensions, the MG Hector is also going to boast of having a whole array of features and creature comforts on-board.
The MG Hector is going to get a panoramic sunroof, a vertical infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, LED day time running lights, projector headlamps to name a few. We are expecting this vehicle to offer a decent array of safety features as well.
The MG Hector is going to offer petrol as well as diesel derivatives. The petrol derivative is going to be a 1.5-litre unit. While the diesel derivative is going to be a 2.0-litre unit. We expected this SUV to offer a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. In addition to this, there will be an automatic gearbox on offer as well.
