This bike made its debut in the mid-2000s and immediately gained popularity for its sporty appearance. What’s even more remarkable is that it provided customers with both attractive aesthetics and impressive performance at a remarkably budget-friendly price. However, during the mid-2010s, it was removed from the market for an extended period. Now, it has made a comeback, ready to take on its competitors once again. 2023 Hero Karizma XMR Mileage Test

This video comes from NBT Auto on YouTube. The YouTuber uses the tank-to-tank method to test the fuel economy. He has filled the fuel tank with petrol upto the brim. Then, he rides the bikes in various conditions. He tests the mileage without the pillion. During the course of this journey, he travels in the city, highway and hills. The total distance he travelled was 68.2 km. He rode it in the most natural way which a lot of regular bikers will do. For this, the bike consumed 2.27 litres of petrol. This results in a mileage of 30.04 km/l. This is quite a decent mileage considering the performance it offers and the terrains it was ridden on.

Specs

The new Hero Karizma comes with a 210-cc liquid-cooled 4V DOHC engine that produces an impressive 25.5 PS of power at 9,250 RPM and 20.4 Nm of torque at 7,250 RPM. It features a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch for smooth gear changes. Dual-channel ABS is standard safety feature. This bike is constructed on a Trellis frame made of high-tensile steel, ensuring robust build quality.

The front end features a 300 mm disc brake with a 100-section tyre, while the rear has a 230 mm disc brake and a 140-section tyre. Suspension-wise, there’s a 37 mm telescopic fork at the front with an anti-friction bush, and at the rear, you’ll find a 6-step pre-load adjustable gas-charged monoshock absorber. The Karizma has an 11-litre fuel tank, a ground clearance of 160 mm, and weighs 163.5 kg. It is available at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 1.73 lakh. With this mileage, it is sure to attract a lot more buyers.
