Renault has dropped in a teasre of the Duster Facelift and has confirmed its launch on 8th July. So, what new does the facelift get?
Renault is finally going to update the Duster SUV, after bringing it to the Indian market back in 2012. It was one of the earliest mid-sized SUVs or 5-seater SUVs, which instantly created an uproar.
Now, we are basically getting the third facelift to the Renault Duster. This comes in after the manufacturer has started reporting poor sales from its once most-selling model in the Indian market.
The updated model has already been spied in India and fresh reports have also leaked its prices. So, these are a few things that you can expect from the launch of Renault Duster Facelift:
1. Exterior Design
On the outside, the Duster Facelift gets some noticeable upgrades. The front grille is bigger now and gets detailed chrome finish as well. The headlamps, tail lamps and alloy wheels have also been revised. It gets faux skid plates and a new style of the bonnet as well.

2. Features
Minor feature additions include a revised touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. New projector headlamps replace the old halogen headlamps from the older model.
3. Interior
Inside the cabin, the Renault Duster Facelift will get a new colour for the upholstery. We expect a better quality of plastics to be used in this version. Also, the AC vents and centre console will get chrome accents alongside.
4. Engine
The Duster facelift is expected to continue with the same 1.5 Litre petrol and the 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 106 BHP at 5600 RPM and 124 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT gearbox.

The diesel engine produces 108 BHP and 240 Nm of torque and 85 BHP and 200 Nm on lower-spec variants. There are chances of inclusion of an AMT gearbox on both the engines. Also, Duster will not be available with a diesel engine post-BS-6 norms. Renault is discontinuing all diesel engines for India.
5. Prices
Reports from earlier this week suggest that the prices of Duster Facelift will remain unchanged. It currently starts off at Rs 7.99 Lakhs going up to Rs 13.09 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
