Renault Duster Facelift Prices Remains Unchanged – Starts at 7.99 lakh

The mid-trim RxS will sport an all-wheel-drive system and the facelift Renault Duster gets an updated touchscreen infotainment system.

Lately, we told you about the upcoming facelift of Renault Duster to be launched on 8th July 2019 and not fresh reports have come across that the prices for the same stand at Rs 7.99 lakh. Surprisingly, the prices remain unchanged for the base trim and for the top trims, we can expect a price hike due to the addition of new features.

Renault Duster is one of the oldest mid-size SUV among its competition which was an instant hit among masses. The 5-seater vehicle will continue to sport the same 1.5-litre petrol and turbocharged diesel engine.

The facelift for the Renault Duster is been brought citing to the poor sales and the prices will play an important role for someone who wants an SUV without shelling out more money.

What’s new is the addition of an all-wheel-drive system in the mid-trim RxS which was earlier seen only on the top-end RxZ variant. Although the former trim will miss out on most features we have on the top-spec, it will be relatively priced lower thus giving competition to its rivals.

Talking about the design of the facelifted Duster, not much has been changed unless you look closely. The car now gets projector headlamps along with higher bonnet placement, faux skid plates to give an agile look and the car sits on new alloy wheels.

The interiors of the Duster have also been changed with the new steering wheel and updated infotainment system which now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, regular AC vents on the centre console, new colour upholstery. Also, the AC vents and chrome accents alongside.

The 1.5-litre petrol motor churns out 106 bhp at 5600 Rpm and a peak torque of 142 Nm at 4000 rpm. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT. The turbocharged diesel engine produces 108 bhp with 240 Nm of torque and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and an AMT will be on the table too.

Renault Duster currently competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Mahindra TUV300 and Nissan Terrano.
