Prices are expected to be the lowest among compact sedans with an expected starting price of around INR 4.4 lacs. It will be interesting to see how Tata positions the Zica sedan in order to avoid cannibalization within its own ranks considering the Zest is already on sale in the market.

Tata Zica Sedan – Specifications

The sedan will share the engines with its hatchback sibling without any change in specifications. The petrol variants will be powered by an 85 bhp 1.2 litre 3 cylinder Revotron motor while the diesel will be powered by a 69 bhp 1.05 litre Revotorq engine.

Tata Hexa India Debut

On paper, the Aria looked like a very promising product but somehow failed to capture the India car buyer’s imagination. Tata Motors has brought a thoroughly reworked version of their crossover among other Tata cars to Auto Expo 2016. This model is based on the Hexa concept that was showcased last year. Will the SUV + MPV, all rolled into one package, strike a chord with the audience this time around?

Tata Hexa Price

We expect prices to start at around INR 10 lacs for the base variant going all the way up to 15 lacs for the top of the line trims.

Tata Hexa – Specifications

Powering the Tata Hexa will be the same Varicor 400 diesel that recently debuted under the hood of the Tata Safari Strome. This 2.2-litre motor produces a peak power of 156 PS and a max. torque of 400 Nm. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

It is not just the Zica sedan that is a part of new Tata cars at Auto Expo 2016. Also in the pipeline is a crossover-styled variant of Tata’s latest hatchback. Called the Tata Zica Aktiv, the upcoming model will be, in all probability, an i20 Active-like 5-door based on the Zica hatchback. Expect this new model to carry many new styling elements that will work to infuse some ruggedness to the Zica‘s suave exterior.

Tata Nexon Compact SUV Debut

Tata will step into the highly lucrative compact SUV space with a  compact SUV based on the Nexon concept, known internally by its codename – X104. The manufacturer has adopted a slightly different approach with the SUV as their major focus has been on styling, even if it’s at the expense of interior space. This vehicle is among the most promising Tata cars at Auto Expo 2016.

Tata Compact SUV Price

We expect Tata to price the Nexon concept based compact SUV competitively in the INR 7-10 lacs region.

Tata Bolt Sport India Debut

First unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, the Tata Bolt Sport, a souped-up variant of the India-spec Bolt hatchback, makes its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016. We look forwad to meeting this interesting model that will be showcased among the modified Tata cars at Auto Expo 2016.

It maybe noted that Tata Motors has been working overtime to come up with one thoroughly world-class model after another. We’ve already written a great deal about the progress that the manufacturer has made in fields of engines and exterior & interior design. The new Zica hatchback’s modern engines and aesthetics go on to showcase Tata’s newly attained prowess and apart from these aforementioned big reveals, we hope to see some really interesting concepts from the manufacturer. We also have good reasons to believe that Tata will also put on display some tastefully modified variants of its existing lineup of cars.
