Aย disappointing stint in the crossover space with the Aria sent Tata engineers back to the drawing board. And after a lot of hard work, they have now come up with the Hexa.ย Armed with better looks, a better cabin and more features, the Hexa should appeal to Indian consumers. However, finding buyers will not be an easy task in a segment dominated by popular products such as the XUV500 and Innova Crysta. Plus, Tata might have to deal with other indirect rivals in the form of the Hyundai Creta. While these two belong to different segments, there is a price overlap. We compare the two in our Tata Hexa vs Hyundai Creta post here to find out how they stack up against each other.tata hexa vs hyundai creta

Tata Hexa vs Hyundai Creta – Exterior Design

While the Hexa retains the overall SUV-MPV crossover shape of the Aria, the styling is now more butch. It gets a very aggressive front end with blacked out headlamps and bumper mounted LED DRLs. There is plastic body cladding all around with silver finish faux skid plates. Black finish for the C-Pillar gives the Hexa a floating roof effect. The loses some of the van-like design traits, which is sure to appeal to a greater number of prospective buyers. Almost all Hyundais on sale today are lookers, and the Creta is no different. The design of the small SUV has played a key role in attracting buyers. It gets an aggressive nose, a smart rear end and other quintessential SUV-like design traits, making it one of the better looking small SUVs on sale today.

Tata Hexa vs Hyundai Creta –ย Interior

Tata has given the Hexa’s cabin an all-black treatment. It looks smart and boasts good levels of quality, fit and finish. The steering wheelย is the same as the one we’ve seen on all new Tata products. In comparison with the Aria, Tata claims they have increased interior space. Second and third-row occupants get more legroom. The Hyundai Creta features a black-beige combination. The biggest difference between the two is the lack of a third row of seats in the Hyundai Creta. The again, they do belong to different segments and cater to different needs.
