For the month of July 2019, Hero Activa has again topped the list of top 10 selling scooters, followed by TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access, as usual.
The slump is the auto sector is growing and more and more popular vehicles are seeing rare declines in the sales. But in the scooter segment, there are some minor exceptions to this slowdown.
For the month of July 2019, the Honda Activa is again the first in the top 10 selling scooters list. But, the scooter has seen a minor increase in the monthly sales, from 2.36 Lakh units in June to 2.44 Lakhs units.

The Y-o-Y positive growth is seen on many models here, including Access, Dio, Ntorq and Pleasure. Hero Maestro has witnessed the highest negative growth of 48%, primarily because of the more affordable Hero Destini 125.

For the month of June 2019, the top-10 list had Yamaha Ray and Honda Grazia as well, which lost their position to Maestro and Hero Pleasure. However, the sales of the top 10 selling scooters for June, was less than compared with July.
In the scooter business, Honda is the main player with the Activa and Dio. Followed by that comes TVS, which has the Jupiter and Ntorq scooters recording good sales. The third is line will be Hero, which has Destini 125, Pleasure and Maestro still making good numbers.
With the oncoming festive season starting in September, the automakers expect the sector to normalize by some level. With festive season discounts and offers coming in, dealerships plan to attract the buyers.
