The updated Scorpio was launched in 2014. However, its pickup version, the Scorpio Getaway never got those updates. Now, it seems,ย Mahindra will soon roll out the new 2017 model Scorpio Pik up and Getaway versions soon. Test mules with camouflaged front ends have been spied testing on public roads in both single cab and double cab guises. While the former is reserved for international markets, the double cab versionย could be launched as the 2017 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway. Read on for more on the upcoming Scorpio Pick Up.

2017 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Design
The nose of the Scorpio Pik Up and Getaway variants will be identical to the current model that has been on sale since 2014. It features new headlamps with projector elements, new bumper and a new grille. The rest of the car will be identical to the old Scorpio Getaway. Spy shots reveal even the tail lights will be carried over from the original Scorpio that came out way back in 2002.
On the inside, the dashboard will be identical to the current Scorpio’s. However, the colour scheme and upholstery may vary. As we mentioned earlier, the pickup version of the Scorpio will be available in single cab as well as double cab variants. India will get the double cab version that will be sold under the Scorpio Getaway moniker.

2017 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Launch

We’re not sure when Mahindra will launch the new 2017 Scorpio Getaway. Currently, they are still selling the older version. Our guess is that the new one will probably arrive at dealerships towards the middle or the second half of this year.
2017 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Price
Scorpio Getaway currently retails for Rs. 8.94-10.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The launch of the new model could push prices up to around Rs. 9.2-9.3 lakhs. Mahindra might continue selling the Scorpio Getaway with 2.5 L and 2.2 L diesel engines.

The engines will be the same. The 2.2 L diesel is shared with the Mahindra Scorpio. It makes 120 BHP and 280 Nm. The BSIII compliant 2.6 L diesel makes 109 BHP and 270 Nm.
