The 2024 Maruti Swift has started reaching the dealerships. In fact, even its mileage figure has been leaked ahead of the launch. Swift is an iconic model which will now arrive in its 4th generation avatar. Note that this model has already been launched in international markets like Japan, Germany, the UK, Ireland and France. India will be the next humungous market which will see the new Swift soon. The official pre-bookings have started with a token amount of Rs 11,000 which confirms that the launch is near. 2024 Maruti Swift Mileage Leaked
As per the details by v3cars on Instagram, the new Swift will offer an incredible mileage of 25.72 kmpl. That is significantly higher than the already impressive 22.38 kmpl on the current model. Suzuki is introducing a new powertrain with the new Swift which is the reason for this massive jump in the mileage figure. Apart from that, another key revelation suggests that the new Swift will offer 6 airbags as standard across the range. We know that the Swift has never scored well on the crash tests. But with 6 standard airbags, the iconic hatchback might finally bag decent stars at the NCAP test. Safety is becoming a norm these days and a crucial factor people take into account before making a purchase decision.
The K Series engine of the current-gen model will finally make way for the new Z Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mild hybrid mill which will churn out 82 PS (down from 90 PS in the existing model) and 112 Nm (down from 113 Nm in the existing model) of peak power and torque. There are no details about the automatic transmission on offer but the 5-speed manual gearbox will continue. In the automatic gearbox division, we might either see an AMT or a CVT automatic. But the big change will be the 25.72 kmpl mileage which will be the highest in the segment by a long mile. Even its 22.38 kmpl mileage in the current model was the best in the segment. Hence, people looking for low running costs will definitely opt for it.
