The electric Mahindra KUV 100 was recently spotted with minimum camouflage indicating that we might see the production version at the 2020 Auto Expo.
At the 2018 Auto Expo, Mahindra unveiled the electric KUV 100 in a concept version. It would be the second EV from the Indian manufacturer after the E-Verito which is only available for the government employees and commercial use.
The new spy shots of the electric Mahindra KUV 100 has come up and the test mule was spotted in Chennai. It has been spied almost uncamouflaged, with some covering on the bonnet, boot and side portions.
It looks the same as the KUV 100 NXT, bearing the same headlamps, alloy wheels, fog lamp styling and bumpers. However, the camouflaged part is where the changes lie. We expect just new badges to be put on the covered parts.

The EV is likely to carry a 40 kW AC induction motor which will be better than the E-Verito. The 72V lithium-ion battery from the E-verito might be seen on the KUV, but with slightly better specifications. The electric motor is said to produce around 120 Nm.
The EV will be able to go up to 100 km/hr max and is likely to offer a low driving range of around 120-150 kms. Mahindra is expected to provide a home AC charger along with the car and the option of a faster charger that could charge from 0-80% in just an hour.
Other than that, there will be some new features onboard as well. Mahindra is going to showcase the electric version of the XUV 300 as well. The EV has been spotted doing rounds on the roads and will be slightly different than the regular model.
