The next edition of India’s largest motor show should be the venue for many new car and bike launches and public debuts. Hero Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Hero HX250R

There has been a huge delay in the launch of the HX250R sportsbike. However, the HX250R isn’t dead yet and will be present at the Auto Expo 2018 in a production guise. The HX250R will become a logical successor to the now defunct Karizma ZMR and will appeal to all those who’ve been looking for a sufficiently powerful and stylish motorcycle with a full fairing. Prices could start at Rs 1.5 lakh.

Hero Hastur

The Hastur made its debut at the last Expo, but in a concept form. This time around we’re likely to see the Hastur in a near-production form. The Hastur is an aggressive-looking streetnaked that seems to have taken design inspiration from some big-displacement models in the Yamaha FZ series. However, it’s no less a mean machine with an engine that displaces 620cc. Easily the most most powerful Hero bike yet, the Hastur is likely to launch next year. Prices could start at roughly Rs 4.5 lakh.
Hero Xtreme 200S

The Xtreme 200S is easily among the most important upcoming new Hero bikes at Auto Expo 2018. Much like the HX250R, even the 200cc version of the Xtreme is taking its own sweet time to launch in the market. However, it seems like the bike finally ready for its market debut and could meet us in a production form at the next motor show. Expect prices to start at Rs 95,000. The new bike will go on to rival the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and will come with a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is likely to output around 18.6 PS at 8500 rpm and 17.2 Nm at 6000 rpm.
New Hero Impulse 200cc

The Impulse is about to get a new lease of life! Hero will come up with a comprehensively updated version of its dual purpose motorcycle at the next Delhi Auto Expo. The new Impulse will get the same 200cc engine that powers the Xtreme 200S. With a 200cc engine, the Impulse should have all the punch that it always needed. We’re expecting a max. power of 18.6 PS and a peak toque of around 17.2 Nm. The new engine will come mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission.
Hero XF3R

This is among Hero’s most interesting bikes and will likely show up at the Auto Expo 2018. Interestingly, the bike was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. So, perhaps we will get to see it in near-production form at Auto Expo 2018, then? We can’t say anything about that right now. However, it is likely to be one of Hero’s premium offerings in India. It will likely have a 298.6cc engine onboard which will be a single-cylinder unit and sport fuel injection. We also expect the bike to retain its upside down front suspension and rear monoshock when it goes into production.
New Hero Scooters at Auto Expo 2018
Hero ZIR 150

The Zir is yet another upcoming Hero product that has already made its debut at the previous edition of the motor show. In essence, the Zir will be Hero what the PCX 150 is to Honda. This means that Zir will soon become the largest Hero scooter ever. It will be powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 150cc engine that outputs 14 BHP and 12.7 Nm. This automatic scooter has a top speed of 110 KMPH. The Hero Zir gets a 9-litre fuel tank, which is considerably better for long rides than the 5-litre fuel tank most other automatic scooters have been offering.
Hero Leap Hybrid Scooter

The Hero Leap Hybrid scooter made its public debut at the 2012 Auto Expo. While it’s yet to launch in the market, the Leap is India’s first-ever indigenous electric hybrid scooter. The production-ready Leap Hybrid could be second of the new Hero Scooters at Auto Expo 2018. The Leap will come equipped with an 8kW PMAC (Permanent Magnet AC) motor that will gets its juice from lithium-ion batteries.
