Renault India has launched a new 1.0-litre variant of the Kwid. The new Renault kwid 1.0 SCe will offer a manual gearbox at a starting price of Rs. 3.83 Lakhs. The Kwid 1.0 SCe will benefit from a bigger engine, AMT. However, it will also boast the rugged SUV-ish design of the original Kwid. The 1000cc Kwid will offer a manual transmission initially. Renault Kwid 1.0 SCe Launch Date

The new Kwid 1.0-litre model was launched on 22nd August. Deliveries of the new model could start only by the end of this month. Dealerships have already started accepting the bookings of the 1.0 Kwid. The booking can also be made on Amazon.in.

Powering the Kwid 1.0 AMT and Manual Transmission models is a new 1000cc engine. This engine will offer 67 bhp and 91 Nm. The Kwid 1.0 will come with the same 13-inch steel wheels.

Renault Kwid 1.0 SCe Competition
The 1000cc Kwid will basically rival 1.0-litre models of the Alto and Eon. However, it could also leave a dent on the sales of the Datsun Redi Go and Chevy Spark.
Renault Kwid 1.0 SCe Exterior Design
The new 1.0 model of Kwid looks almost the same as the current 0.8-litre model. However, it does get new side decals and silver finish ORVMs. The AMT models will also get an ‘Easy-R’ badge. Indian car buyers seem to have loved the SUV-like styling of the Kwid. The macho stance, the SUV-ish design, the slight resemblance to the Duster- the Kwid has enough to stand out amongst a crowd of hatchbacks.
Renault Kwid 1.0 SCe Interior Design
The Kwid 1.0 is the same as the current version on the inside. It gets a neatly designed dashboard that has a Duster-like touchscreen AVN. Automatic AMT models will get a rotary gear selector. The selector knob will be positioned below the AC vents. The boot space is also the same impressive 300 litres. The Kwid can easily seat 4 adults and a kid.
