TVS Racing, the factory racing wing of local motorcycle manufacturer, TVS Motor Company, has invited aspiring racers to participate in the rookie and woman categories of the 2022 edition of its TVS One-Make Championship. The applicants will be judged in a selection round that will take place on March 27, 2022.

The session will even include a full-day training school that will be conducted by the champions of TVS Racing. This will help the riders get comfortable on the race-spec motorcycles. Aspiring racers applying for participation in the women’s category will be seen showing their skills on the race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, while the applicants of the rookie category will be riding the TVS Apache RR 200. The latter aims to serve as an important platform to cultivate the young motorsport talent in the country. It is open to riders aged between 11 and 18 years.
The top 20 riders from each category will be picked from each city on the basis of their lap timings, physical fitness and racing skills. The final selection round ill be held in Chennai at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in May 2022. The selection round in Mumbai will take place at the Amera IndiKarting. The selected racers will compete in five rounds for the championship on the race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and TVS Apache RR 200. Once the final selection is made in Chennai, the racers will be trained by the national champion riders from TVS Racing to improve physical fitness and hone their racing skills before the 2022 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC).

TVS One-Make Championship Women’s Category: Selection Criteria
- Participants should have a valid two-wheeler driving licence
- Participants below the age of 18 years should have Level-1 FMSCI certified training received from any racing training school and should be accompanied by their guardian at the selection venue
TVS One-Make Championship Rookie Category: Selection Criteria
- Participants should be under 18 years (born on or after January 2005). Level-1 FMSCI certified training received from any racing training school is mandatory
