Yamaha India launched the FZ25 earlier this year. This bike sits above the FZ16 and like the FZ and Fazer siblings, the FZ-25 too will spawn a faired version. Like the Fazer, the upcoming Yamaha bike, likely to be called Fazer 250, also has a semi-faired look with the engine exposed. However, this one gets a more elaborate fairing. Powering the new Yamaha Fazer 250 will be the same engine that powers the FZ 25. It is a single-cylinder 249cc engine. It benefits from a fuel injection system. There is a 5-speed gearbox on offer. Peak power of 20.9 PS is produced at 8000 RPM. Peak torque of 20 Nm comes in at 6000 RPM. Expect the Fazer to weigh a bit more than the FZ25 thanks to all the extra body work. While the bike gets front and rear disc brakes, we’re not sure if Yamaha will offer ABS on this model or not.

Following in the footsteps of the FZ and Fazer siblings, the new Fazer 250 will be identical to FZ 25 fuel tank onwards. It will get the same sleek rear with LED taillight and a stubby exhaust. The images of the bike we have here reveal alloy wheels similar to the ones on the FZ25. The Fazer 250 will be a semi-faired bike leaving the engine area exposed. Also, it will be meant for touring purposes based on the fact that it gets a windscreen and tall set handlebars. A fully digital instrument console identical to the FZ25’s will display all relevant info.
