Red Bull Racing 2012 Formula 1 Car “RB8” Official Pictures and Video

World Champion of Formula 1 2011 Indian Grand Prix, the Red Bull Racing team has revealed the official pictures and video of their next challenger car, RB8, the F1 2012 car for Red Bull Racing team for the coming season. The RB8 is a composite monocoque structure which uses Renault V8 engine. It has a 7 speed transmission with hydraulic clutch and powershift system. The front and rear suspension of the RB8 use aluminum alloy uprights with carbon composite double wishbone design with springs and anti-rill bar with multimatic dampers. The braking system uses Brembo racing grade calipers and carbon discs and pads. The engine control unit is a FIA standard Engine control unit. Official list of drivers for the first inaugural season of i1 Super Series have been announced by the organizer - Machdar Motorsports at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. Drivers in the inaugural i1 Supercar Series will include 1997 Formula One Champion Jacques Villeneuve, 2011 Formula One drivers Vitantonio Liuzzi and Karun Chandhok, and former Formula One race winners Giancarlo Fisichella, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Jean Alesi. Apart from the international drivers, the Indian drivers include Armaan Ebrahim, Aditya Patel and Parthiva Sureswaren. The much awaited i1 Supercar Series today confirmed that it will host its first ever pre-season test on December 20th at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. This test at the famed Formula One venue will also see the unveiling of the drivers, both international and local, who will participate in the first season of the motorsports league. As a prelude to the racing league, set to take center stage with its first race in January 2012, the drivers will get a chance to test the Radical SR3, the single make car being used for the series. The curiosity around who would be the drivers for the series would finally be quelled with Darshan M, CEO, i1 Supercar Series announcing the impressive driver line-up on Monday, 19th December. i1 Supercar Series is the all new motorsport racing league promoted by Machdar Motorsports. Skoda and drivers of Skoda Fabia Super 2000s have been officially awarded the 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) champion honours. Skoda dominated the Manufacturers category for the second consecutive year and Andreas Mikkelsen in a Fabia Super 2000 won the Drivers’ category. Second and third places were also taken by Fabia drivers – Jan Kopecký and Juho Hänninen. Furthermore, Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula of Red Bull SKODA won the first-ever World Championship title for SKODA in the SWRC category.
