Like most Marutis, the Ignis is also powered by 1.2 L Petrol and 1.3 L Diesel motors. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (petrol and diesel).ย Both cars are nearly identical in terms of power and torque outputs. The Maruti Ignis’ SUV-like styling makes it stand out from the crowd. It is sure to be big selling point here in India. The front features a very unique grille and headlamp setup with LED daytime running lights. The only weak point of its design is the rear end.ย Hyundai’s Grand i10 just received a mild facelift.ย It features a sportier front end with a new bumper, new grille and LED daytime running lamps.
As far as the cabin is concerned, the Ignis gets a very interesting and modern dashboard design. The touchscreen infotainment system or the audio system in the Ignis does not sit flush with the centre console. In order to spruce things up a little, the Ignis’ cabin also gets body coloured highlights. The Hyundai Grand i10 features a neat and functional dashboard layout that is high on quality. Hyundai has now added features like automatic climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system as well.

Maruti’s upcoming Ignis could easily turn out to be aย huge hit.ย However, taking customers away from an established player like the Grand i10 won’t be easy.
